November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

5 Nov

Everyone knows that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month – thanks to media coverage and a bazillion products in pink. Not many people know that November is actually Lung Cancer Awareness Month. What even fewer people realize is that lung cancer kills more people than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined!  According to the American Cancer Society, almost 220,000 new cases of lung cancer will be diagnosed this year.
